Jessica Harper, a Rome native and graduate of Model High School, earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from Shorter University in 2016. Since then, Jessica pursued a real estate career, where she has had the opportunity to serve the community, volunteer, and create new friendships along the way. Currently, Jessica and her husband Matt are in the process of opening Harper Home Design, a one-stop-boutique expected to open in March, which will offer clients a large selection of everything from flooring, cabinetry, countertops, home decor, and more.

In March of 2015, Jessica's mother, Kim Wilson, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 54. Knowing that the odds of her mother finding a cure were slim, Jessica knew that she wanted to take action and do whatever she could to contribute to the end of this disease. Since the diagnosis, Jessica, alongside her husband Matt Harper and Step-Father Phil Wilson, have set out to raise awareness through multiple avenues of fundraising. The Float for Hope to Benefit the Alzheimer's Association, an annual float down the Etowah River, was dreamed up by Matt and Jessica, and has risen close to $20,000 since its inaugural launch in 2016.

The first year of A Night to Remember, Kim was crowned Queen. "It was one of the first nights in a long time that I had seen her genuinely smile and enjoy herself. We look forward to the event every year," Jessica said. Kim, with the assistance of her husband and family, continues to have a positive outlook on her situation. Jessica is incredibly passionate about this cause and is honored to be a part of the Prom Court. By continuing to raise funds for dementia and Alzheimer's research, she believes we will be on the right track to finding a cure.
