The A Night to Remember: An Adult Prom began in 2014 as a gala event benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. Each year, the adult prom is held the Saturday evening of Mother’s Day weekend in May and features a local celebrity Prom Court that competitively raises funds to be crowned Prom King & Queen. Since inception, the prom has donated over $100,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association.
In 2019, the organizers began the process of becoming their own non-profit aimed at not only contributing to research and advocacy through a national organization, but to also implement a local grant program aimed at assisting families in Floyd County and surrounding areas as well as supporting the local caring closet that supplies incontinence products to low-income seniors in Floyd and surrounding counties.
